Cabo de Cruz will host the XIIº Galician Trditional Boats Festival on 2015

The FGCMF Assembly decided by vote,  Cabo de Cruz as the port hosting the XIIth Galician Traditional Boats Festival. The two candidates who chose to organize the XII Encontro, Cabo de Cruz and Combarro presented a solid, capable of carrying out the meeting with guaranteed success. Both had many positive aspects that made it very difficult choice. The "Gamela" Seafaring Traditions and Cultural Association had nominated Cabo da Cruz, and the Marine Club "A Reiboa", Combarro. Both projects were viable and both promise a quality event. Cape Cross was chosen, but it could have been Combarro. Finally, it seems that the collective FGCMF weighed the fact that Cabo de Cruz never host before any meeting, to choose this option.

We congratulate all of this election shows that the moving by sea and inland culture alive. That despite the economic situation there are groups willing and able to choose to organize the meeting, and are able to mobilize resources, institutions, and governments of its ports. Congratulations to Gamela and Reiboa for their excellent work.
